- The trade in short-term loans between banks and other financial institutions
- The money market is a component of the financial markets for assets involved in short-term borrowing and lending with original maturities of one year or shorter time frames.
- (Money Markets) Refers to investments that are short-term (i.e. under one year) and whose participants include banks and other financial institutions. Examples include Deposits, Certificates of Deposit, Repurchase Agreements, Overnight Index Swaps, and Commercial Paper.
